Ngern Tid Lor Public Company Limited, a subsidiary of Tidlor Holdings (TIDLOR), continues to promote Financial Education for communities. Mr. Mingkwan Prasertsiwaporn, Social Impact Lead, led a team of employee volunteers to organize activities under the “Financial Knowledge to Communities for Life Rolls Forward” project through the training course “Debt-Free, Happy Life.” The program aimed to provide basic financial knowledge on proper debt management to more than 40 residents of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya City Municipality, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. Most participants were self-employed workers and local residents who still lack financial knowledge. Many are currently facing both formal and informal debt problems, which affect themselves and their families and remain a long-standing issue in Thai society.
The activity was conducted through Activity-Based Learning, designed to be engaging and easy to understand. It encourages participants to think, analyze, and make informed decisions about income and expense planning, understanding debt, the differences between formal and informal interest rates, careful decision-making before borrowing money, and building savings discipline. These financial skills are an important foundation for reducing inequality and addressing poverty, while enabling participants to apply financial knowledge in their daily lives and within their families.
The “Financial Knowledge to Communities for Life Rolls Forward” project was launched in 2015 with the aim of creating sustainable learning opportunities for people in communities. The project also encourages employees to volunteer and contribute to society, while gaining deeper understanding of community life and local challenges. Ngern Tid Lor PLC. has developed basic financial management courses tailored for low-income groups, small merchants, and self-employed individuals, and later expanded the program to wider audiences such as university students, government agencies, private organizations, and independent organizations. To date, the project has been organized more than 265 times nationwide, reaching 10,017 participants, with 1,776 employee volunteers taking part in the initiative (as of March 2026).
Miss Nipa Vanichavat, Head of Corporate Sustainability, said the activity reflects the company’s commitment to operating under the ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) framework, particularly in the Social dimension of the Tidlor Holdings, by creating opportunities for financial and insurance literacy, which are key foundations for improving people’s lives sustainably. The initiative also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Beyond the social dimension, Tidlor Holdings also places strong emphasis on the Environment dimension, promoting efficient use of resources and reducing greenhouse gas emissions through products and services such as the Tidlor Card, a revolving cash card for loan withdrawals, and the loan transfer to bank account via the Ngern Tidlor application, which allows customers to access services without visiting branches. The Group also provides E-Billing and E-Receipt services, helping reduce energy consumption and paper usage. Additional initiatives include reducing water and electricity consumption, minimizing plastic waste, and ensuring proper disposal of electronic waste to prevent environmental pollution. In the Governance dimension, the Group continues to operate its business with fairness and transparency, while collaborating with government agencies to ensure appropriate oversight of the vehicle title loan industry, providing a reliable source of funding for retail borrowers.
All of these initiatives reflect the commitment of Tidlor Holdings as The Leading Financial Inclusion Service Provider, creating financial opportunities and equality while sustainably improving people’s quality of life.
