At Ngern Tid Lor, we believe that NTLers are key force to moving our organization forward. We thus consistently communicate with them on a regular basis to build understanding and confidence, reduce their anxiety, and encourage them to always feel embraced in all aspects of the organization.
In this article, Mr. Piyasak Ukritnukun, Managing Director of Ngern Tid Lor Public Company Limited, will share his views on the current situation, give us advice on self-adapting to living with COVID-19, and on boosting NTLers confidence to drive Ngern Tid Lor forward.
“Everyone can rest assured because our company’s situation right now is very stable. Of course, business can be up and down due to volatile economic conditions, but I believe that Ngern Tid Lor will continue being a strong leader in the vehicle title loan market, committed to helping grassroots people access to fair and transparent financial services.
I think having more competitors in the vehicle title loan market is not necessarily a bad thing. I strongly believe that having competitors who are passionate about this business will benefit our customers because if they compete and they could raise the standard of access to financial services, it will create more opportunity for grassroots customers to access fair and transparent financial resources, allowing them to get their lives rolling forward. Competition will also push us to continue to develop better products and services for our customers.”
“For the past three years, COVID-19 has affected nearly every industry in the world. We recognized the importance and need to build capital strength and thus decided to list our shares on the Stock Exchange of Thailand to raise capital (IPO). This will allow the company to prepare for risks and adapt to changes, as well as implementing a strategy to help Thai people across the country access to loans and insurances, and expanding business to other countries in the future. Our expansion will focus on countries in the ASEAN region with growing market opportunities. One of these interesting countries is Vietnam where motorcycles are the most popular means of transport and economy is growing rapidly.
However, Ngern Tid Lor is not looking for partnership because of monetary benefits only. We will remain committed to our vision, passion, goal, and understanding of consumer insights to help our customers get their lives roll forward.”
“First of all, we should not live in fear of COVID-19. Vaccination allows our body to build up immunity to fight against the virus. Washing hands frequently, wearing a mask, and practicing social distancing all need to become an integral part of our daily routine. Traveling out of your house less will reduce the risk as well.
Secondly, it is important to take charge of your mental health. I believe that health and money worries as results of work from home and economic situation can affect your mental health. Firstly, I recommend that you follow the news to manage your expectations towards the current situation. While the COVID-19 outlook remains uncertain and economic volatility continues, you do not need to get hung up with what is going on around you because it will lead to expectations, and expectations sometimes lead to disappointment. Secondly, try to do other activities you enjoy when you have time, such as watching movies, exercising, and meditating, to keep your mind at ease.
Especially for our frontline staff who are working hard to deliver high quality services to customers, please do remind yourself to take care of health. You deserve our encouragement and gratitude. Please trust that the work that we are doing is important.
Mr. Piyasak left a message to all colleagues at Ngern Tid Lor to encourage them to drive the organization strongly and sustainably.
“Be patient, because there are many factors that are beyond our control. What we should do is continuing our duty for the benefit of our customers as we have always done. I strongly believe that customers will see what we are trying to do for them.
To adapt. COVID-19 is like a wall that keeps rising, while we all are trying to put a lot of time and effort into building good relationships and strong corporate culture. So I urge our colleagues to get involved in order to create a positive workplace environment. Especially in a situation where we have to keep our distance while working like this, I would like to ask everyone to come up with new practices to help us join hands and work together to get through this crisis.”
Mr. Piyasak concluded, “I do not think COVID-19 has made customers trust us any less. We all know that the best marketing is word of mouth, so if we are committed to maintaining our customer service standards, I strongly believe that our business will continue to grow stably and sustainably.”
