In a world where technology and business are moving towards each other rapidly, “AI” has become an important turning point that will help reduce the gap between people who “use it” and people who “have never started”. But the more important question is — how can we use AI to benefit “our context” the most?
This question itself was the starting point of TIDLOR AI Executive Workshop, a workshop for more than 60 leaders from all business lines throughout the organization. It was not held to find a definition of what AI is, but was held to bring everyone together to “think” and “do” to drive AI to become part of the organization's strategy sustainably
“Technology can change all the time, but what should not change is the value we will deliver to customers”
— Mr. Piyasak Ukritnukun, Chief Executive Officer, Ngern Tid Lor Public Company Limited
From the organization's continuous investment intention, from infrastructure such as websites and applications, to managing Data to be ready for efficient use...today we are moving forward in an important Roadmap by melting together understanding of AI through thinking, doing, and strategizing by leaders from all business lines
“Because Leadership is not a choice, when we have more than 60 leaders in this room, leading an organization of more than 8,000 people to be ready to face the future, cannot be done with only the knowledge we have, but must start from “ways of thinking” that dare to be open to new things and start using AI with true understanding”
Learn from doing to create true understanding
Over 3 full days, more than 60 leaders from various business lines such as Analysis and Development Department, Human Resources Department, Transaction Control Department, Information Technology Department, Marketing and Business Development Department, Insurance Broker Business Department, Branch Sales Development and Management Department, and many other teams joined together to learn and understand AI through the perspective of “real workers” with “real business problems”
Activities started from Pre-work that had each leader analyze the Pain Points of their own department, along with thinking of preliminary approaches for where AI can help solve problems, so that learning in the workshop has goals and is truly connected to the organization's context
This workshop was honored by Dr. Viroj Chiraphadhanakul, Co-Founder & Managing Director from Skooldio, who shared in-depth concepts, along with Case Study examples, and learned approaches to evaluate project feasibility, impact and risk through the Business AI Canvas tool developed by the A&D team, so that executives can see the overview and systematically plan the evaluation of AI Use Cases covering all dimensions

In addition, there was a Business Matching Game activity, which is a Simulation Workshop designed by Theewin Jidsathaporn, Senior Vice President of Analytics and Development Department. It can be called a game that both answers and pleases the executives who participated in this workshop very well. It allowed participants to test AI strategies through competitive simulation scenarios, helping to understand more about which Use Case should be selected and used when in real business contexts

AI is not just a tool — but a new perspective of being a leader
TIDLOR AI Executive Workshop does not hope to make all executives master techniques from just one workshop, but wants to create understanding at the level of “ways of thinking”. Because using AI effectively is not just about tools, but is about judgment, asking questions, and daring to try regularly. And all of this will not stop just in the workshop room, but will continue into many more projects in TIDLOR AI Hackathon 2025 that is going to happen next
Echoes from NTL leaders
"What really wowed me was when Theewin talked about APIs and various Technologies and everyone nodded in understanding, because if it was in the past it might not be like this. Our company is very tough with new things that come in for us and our juniors to constantly learn. But what's tougher than that is that our people are always ready to be open and learn all the time" Bernard Tso, Head of Marketing and Business Development and Information Technology Department
"People's costs are not equal. In the past, if we wanted to develop ourselves to be good or follow friends to catch up, we might have to work very hard. But in the present, with technology like AI, I think people who use AI are the ones who will have the opportunity to overtake others" Thitided Srimarayat, SVP at Marketing and Business Development
"AI cannot think on its own or be as smart as “people”. Therefore, in the working world, it still needs people in thinking, analyzing, and choosing what is appropriate for the context. Therefore, we ourselves still need to develop" Chotirot Rojrungsat, Happy People Department
"Surprised and impressed by the way Theewin was dedicated and devoted to designing the Simulation Workshop. When we got to play, we knew immediately how hard the thinking process was" Veeraphat Viriyakowitthaya, Management Office
"Saw various Use Cases that can be adapted and shared with juniors in the team so they can use GEN AI more appropriately and efficiently" Chalita Kunvipusilkul, Marketing & Business Development Department
"Coming to this workshop allowed me to organize my thoughts and get a lot of ideas to continue at real work" Rattajak Yuvaves, Branch Development and Sales Management Department
"We will know how much potential AI has to help our work depending on how much we are open and dare to try, because the more we try new Tools, the more it will help us close the Gap of what we don't know a lot more, because I believe there are still many more things to surprise us" Chaiwat Eiamthanakul, Insurance Brokerage Business Department
Important lessons from TIDLOR AI Executive Workshop
- Using AI is not just about technology, but is changing “ways of thinking”
- Daring to use AI is the beginning of reducing fear and increasing questioning
- AI will be an opportunity, not a risk — if we constantly develop ourselves
- Learning AI must “really think, really do”, not just read or listen
- Use AI with judgment, don't believe everything AI says
- Use AI as a “friend who helps think”, not “someone who thinks instead”
- Understanding the limitations of AI will enable effective use of AI
- Learning AI is not a one-time activity, but is creating an AI Ecosystem for leaders who dare to learn and take action, to be able to integrate AI with organizational strategy sustainably
- Organizations that will keep up with changing times are not organizations that have more ready tools, but because they have more ready people
