TIDLOR Change Agent Workshop: Decoding lessons on building corporate culture and new-generation leadership in Ngern Tid Lor's style.

TIDLOR Change Agent Workshop: Decoding lessons on building corporate culture and new-generation leadership in Ngern Tid Lor's style.

Key Highlights:

  • TIDLOR Change Agent: A role not measured by title but “frontline people” who turn policy into real action.
  • Human-Centric Skills: Unlocking potential with Empathy and communication that builds Trust.
  • ESG & Sustainability: Learning through BIOCHAR activities at Doi Tung, reflecting the principle of transforming experiential capital into power to nourish the organization from generation to generation.
  • The Trusted Partner: Elevating from merely a “messenger” to a “Trusted Change Partner” who is truly trusted.

Sustainable change doesn't come from good policies or business plans alone, but from “frontline people” who invite, connect, and lead the team forward every day. Ngern Tid Lor PCL calls this group Change Leaders or TIDLOR Change Agents. This role isn't measured by job title but judged by the intention to make change really happen every day and help drive organizational goals toward creating a positive impact on society and the environment sustainably.

To ensure these Change Leaders are “ready” in thought, skills, and ways of working with others, the TIDLOR Change Agent Workshop was designed to replenish readiness and enhance potential in self-understanding and understanding others, accepting differences, and learning communication methods to lead the team to the same goal with respect and trust.

This workshop was held in late 2025 with the participation of Culture Gangster, Culture Hero, Financial Mentor, and ESG Working Group teams to drive change through their respective roles fully.

Day 1: Unlocking Leadership Potential through Transformational Coaching

Before starting the workshop, Ms. Nipa Vanichvat, Senior Executive, CSR, gave key thoughts to emphasize the role of Change Leaders in creating a sustainable positive impact on society and the environment.

“Whether it's corporate culture, financial literacy, or sustainability, every goal that Ngern Tid Lor wants to drive to create real change starts with ‘people’ who take action. Our role as Change Leaders is very important, not because of position, but because everyone has potential within themselves and the power to pass on ripples for those around to see the importance, dare to act, and help make that change happen for real.”

Followed by the workshop on “TIDLOR Change Agent Incubation” honored by Ms. Topaz Subunruk, Head of Business Development, Thai AirAsia, an expert in Transformational Coaching, and Dr. Sompob Chaturantrasamee, Executive Coach, joining to unlock participant potential.

The content started with understanding “emotions” and “basic human needs” to help everyone understand themselves and others more. This leads to opening up wider than before, communicating more precisely and naturally, increasing confidence in what they are doing, and being able to invite people around them to walk towards the same goal with respect and without prejudice.

The key goal is to elevate the role of Change Leaders from merely “messengers” to being “Trusted Change Partners” truly.

Day 2: Decoding the BIOCHAR Concept from Doi Tung Forest to Passing on Experience in the Organization

The Change Leaders joined together to care for the Doi Tung forest through the activity of adding BIOCHAR fertilizer, produced from “dead bamboo” that reached the end of its natural lifespan. BIOCHAR not only helps improve soil and increase survival chances for trees, but processing dried bamboo also helps reduce wildfire risks and greenhouse gas generation to create a sustainable complete ecosystem.

Interestingly, the “Concept behind BIOCHAR” also reflects principles applicable to creating change in the organization. It's about seeing value in things that may not have been fully utilized today, and transforming them into power to nourish and build upon for the future. This is like passing on experiences, lessons, and perspectives from Change Leaders to the next generation to benefit colleagues and the organization broadly.

Importantly, this activity wasn't just about caring for the forest, but a space for everyone to “care for each other” simultaneously. Because the trekking path up and down the mountain is quite challenging, there were naturally occurring images of help from many teams: waiting for friends, sending encouragement, sharing duties, and supporting each other until the destination. These are small, warm atmospheric details that clearly reflect the cooperation and unity of Ngern Tid Lor people.

Impressive Moments: AHA Moment

After finishing the full 2-day activity, there were various feelings to share with friends who participated and the background team who organized the activity.

“Impressed that everyone understands each other's differences, and I like that this workshop only had encouragement and help. I believe that after this, we will all help create some change.”
Saruthai Jiravoraphitak, Operations Department

“From listening, I am impressed that the younger staff are happy and proud to be chosen for this activity. I want to tell everyone that they are doing something greater than they think, and I want them to harvest this experience and feeling of pride.”
Nipa Vanichvat, Senior Executive, CSR

“This activity made us not only understand ourselves and others but also realize that change doesn't start with anyone else but ourselves. With understanding them, understanding us, and being more open-minded, we will know that leading a team to good results doesn't require pointing fingers telling them what to do, but showing them what change for the better looks like.”

Chanakan Siriworasin, Marketing and Business Development Department

“I like the workshop being like a safe space where there is no wrong because everything is learning. I think it's great if when someone says something, there is no judgment of right or wrong, only listening. I also like everyone's welcome in this room and want everyone to continue giving good things like this to each other when they go back.”
Makorn Jitharn, Tidlor Academy Department

“Impressed with the workshop that made us learn about being generous with ourselves, knowing how to thank and admire ourselves, including understanding others. Like how viewing someone as a bad person is a decision from our perspective, but if we were in their situation, we might become the same kind of person. If we can be generous with ourselves, we can be more generous with others.”
Patiya Vatcharakittichai, Tidlor Academy Department

“I saw that everyone can overcome obstacles if we don't walk alone. This trekking showed us that everyone stopped to wait for each other, not leaving anyone behind. It reflects being a Change Agent who wants to take the people we want to help to the goal. It doesn't need to be fast because change isn't just about speed, but about understanding and standing by each other until reaching the goal together.”
Kanyaporn Navawijitkul, Tidlor Academy Department

“I feel proud to be part of this activity. From the activity of adding fertilizer to the forest at Doi Tung, it makes me feel that every employee is like a tree that the organization cares for and cultivates to grow well, from the training and learning provided since the first day of work. One day, I hope what we try to do will be useful to fellow employees and the organization, just like BIOCHAR that helps the ecosystem in Doi Tung forest continue in balance.”
Yutthasin Liwpancharat, Information Technology Department

Conclusion

Finally, this TIDLOR Change Agent Workshop didn't just leave memories but left a “way of thinking” and “way of working together” that everyone can take back to use for real. From understanding oneself and others to inviting people around to walk towards the same goal with respect and trust.

This activity also confirms that although the organization has created many changes in the lending and insurance brokerage business, what never changes is the “intention” to improve people's quality of life. Because the heart of a Change Agent isn't in the position, but in making that intention happen for real every day through taking action and passing on positive ripples from generation to generation.

This intention will be carried on by TIDLOR Change Agents and all Ngern Tid Lor people who are ready to recharge and move forward together to create meaningful and sustainable change forever.
