
July 7, 2021 is another special day for "NTLer"
Because besides organizing NTL Culture Day 2021, this year held in "Corelympics" theme, gathering day for people with same CORE VALUES there's also announcement of annual "CV Awards" clearly demonstrating NTL Core Values in each category, from joint nominations by NTLers from across country over 6,000 employees, to select 20 Finalists.
Today also marks the official announcement of the “New version of NTL Core Values”, which are more concise, use friendlier language, and are easier to understand. It was also the first time that NTLers hosted NTL Culture Day via Zoom Application and Facebook LIVE in a 100% virtual format.
This allowed thousands of NTLers to still see each other, talk, and enjoy activities together safely, amid the COVID-19 situation where daily infection numbers surged to nearly ten thousand cases per day.
This moment once again proves that every crisis we face is an opportunity for NTLers to demonstrate the strong Core Values embedded in our DNA.
As Piyasak Ukritnukun, Managing Director at Ngern Tid Lor PLC, shared during “The Day We Gather as One CORE”:
“Even though COVID-19 has stayed with us longer than expected, and we have not had the chance to meet face to face, not been able to visit our colleagues at branches, not had the opportunity to meet on the Open Box stage—which is both fun and educational, or even walk past and meet our teams in the office— all of which are things we truly miss.
…but this crisis has shown us that our culture and core values are truly important.
...because when an organization faces a crisis, what we do reflects who we are as NTLers.
This is something many people admire and closely follow.
Many have called to say they see Ngern Tidlor’s genuine intention to help customers get through difficult times, while at the same time building job security for employees—so they feel safe.
...and even though we are physically apart due to COVID-19, NTLers have proven that we can still create new innovations and deliver strong results in many areas.
Teams such as CX and Digital have recently received The Digital CX Awards 2021.”
A Historic Moment: The IPO of TIDLOR Shares
Piyasak also spoke about the IPO of TIDLOR shares, another historic milestone for Ngern Tidlor: “We have talked about ownership and the spirit of ownership for a very long time. And recently, thousands of NTLers who contributed to the organization’s success were given the opportunity to become owners of this company. This reflects that even in a highly challenging situation, strong teamwork helps the organization move forward in the right direction.”
NTL Culture Day and the 7 New Core Values
Regarding NTL Culture Day and the announcement of the 7 New Core Values, Piyasak emphasized the importance of this event: “Organizing this event to remind us of our culture every year on July 7 is a tradition we started not long ago. It helps ensure we do not forget what truly matters and continue to give importance to our core values. It also helps us build a positive working atmosphere by investing in good relationships with one another—so that every morning we wake up wanting to meet our colleagues. Personally, I feel happy every day to come to work and work alongside all NTLers. This year, we refreshed and rewrote our core values to be more modern and to better reflect who NTLers are today. Many have said that the ‘new core values’ are easier to read and easier to understand.”
7 NTL Core Values and the CV Award
Piyasak also congratulated all NTLers who became finalists for the CV Award (Core Values Award), recognizing role models within the organization:
“This is not an easy award to receive. Today, we have around 6,000 employees. This award is not about position or seniority. Instead, it reflects that your colleagues see what you do, see who you are, and want to appreciate you. I would like to thank everyone who reached this stage. You are role models for me and for all NTLers.”
“I would also like to thank the Culture Team. Our culture did not happen by chance—it was intentionally built and designed. It requires a dedicated team to drive and communicate our culture through meaningful activities. Our Culture Team has done an excellent job. Thank you to the Culture Team, and thank you once again to all NTLers.”
United by One CORE
This year’s “The Day We Gather as One CORE” also allowed everyone to reflect on the many achievements accomplished together during the COVID-19 crisis.
Even though headquarters employees have been working from home for more than 450 days, we remain committed to our intention to help customers keep their lives moving forward.
These efforts include:
- Debt payment relief for more than 190,000 customer contracts
- Continuous innovation to serve customers more effectively
- Employee development through more than 200,000 hours of online training
- Shared pride when NTLers became company owners through the TIDLOR IPO
All of this has been made possible because every NTLer shares the same CORE VALUES.
