Ngern Tid Lor Public Company Limited, a company under Tidlor Holdings (TIDLOR), led by Ms. Nipa Vanichvat, Senior Executive, CSR, along with the executive team and over 100 Ngern Tid Lor change leaders, joined the activity “Ngern Tid Lor Co-creating Sustainability, Reviving Forests with BIOCHAR Power” at the Doi Tung Development Project (Royal Initiative Area), Chiang Rai province. They also donated 500,000 Baht to the “Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage”, received by Pol. Maj. Gen. Wirat Sumanapan, Security Expert, Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage, to support the mission of forest restoration and biodiversity enhancement on Doi Tung.
In the activity, Ngern Tid Lor leaders joined in caring for the Doi Tung forest by nourishing trees using BIOCHAR produced from dead bamboo, a natural phenomenon where bamboo dies simultaneously in clumps at the end of its lifespan, creating risks of wildfires and releasing greenhouse gases. Additionally, bamboo flowers increase the rat population, destroying villagers' agricultural produce. To solve the problem and add value, dead bamboo is processed into BIOCHAR to improve soil, help retain water, and increase the survival rate of trees in the restored forest. When the forest is abundant, it becomes a food source and habitat for various living things.
