Ngern Tid Lor Joins Stop Gambling Foundation to Provide Financial Education

Ngern Tid Lor joined the Stop Gambling Foundation to organize “Financial Planning for a Better Life” training which provides basic financial knowledge through fun learning activities. The training encourages participating community leaders to understand the importance of financial planning for themselves and their families and the harms of gambling. The training was recently held at TK Palace Hotel and Convention with Mr. Mingkwan Prasertsiwaporn (fifth from left in standing row), a training specialist from Ngern Tid Lor, and Mr. Thanakorn Komkrit (sixth from right in standing row), Secretary-General of the Stop Gambling Foundation, as speakers.

Ngern Tid Lor Company Limited, as a leader in the vehicle title loan business is committed to creating financial betterment for low-income and self-employed people with fair and transparent access to funding sources. It initiated a project to provide financial education to market vendors in 2012 before expanding the scope of financial education into communities under the “Financial Knowledge to Communities for Life Rolls Forward” project. The project aims to provide basic knowledge on finance, income management, savings, and financial management as a career. It also teaches low-income and self-employed people, factory workers, and community leaders across the country how to use technologies to make financial transactions to reduce costs. In addition, it allows Ngern Tid Lor employees to participate as volunteers to understand the importance of creating financial betterment for customers. In addition, to continue to expand financial education opportunities further, Ngern Tid Lor has collaborated with partners to create opportunities together through projects including:

1. . Kamlangjai Project under the Royal Initiative of HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha to provide financial management and career development education for prisoners in order to prepare them for life and career opportunities after prison.
2. . 9 Steps to Sufficiency Life Project organized by the Stop Gambling Foundation to promote an understanding of the importance of financial management and the harms of gambling among participating community leaders nationwide through the “Financial Planning for a Better Life” training course. The activity is divided into two parts:​
   1. Lead team: Organizes Train the Trainers session for participating community leaders nationwide to give them sufficient knowledge and skills to further train their respective local community members. To date, more than 60 people have been trained.
   2. Support team: Organizes training for participating community leaders nationwide to enable them to support and follow up on training progress, using the information to improve the curriculum. To date, over 113 people have been trained.
